The Surrey Canal Sports Foundation is a registered charity (charity no 1141811) that has been established to safeguard the future of the sports at Surrey Canal: London’s Sporting Village. The sports at Surrey Canal will include boxing, cricket, table tennis, gymnastics, football, basketball, netball, hockey and a new leisure centre with swimming pool.
The Foundation has an independent Board of Trustees, chaired by Steve Norris, who have been tasked with raising funds for the sports facilities.

Sport England: Iconic Facilities Funding to deliver Olympic Legacy
Sport England have short-listed the Surrey Canal scheme for a £2m gift as part of their Iconic Facilities Fund to deliver Olympic and Paralympic legacy. We are working closely with the Sport England team to deliver an iconic sports venue for London and the South East.
I am delighted to be part of this hugely exciting and ambitious project. Surrey Canal: London’s Sporting Village will make a strong contribution towards the 2012 Legacy by addressing the lack of high quality sports provision in inner London. This is also a fantastic opportunity to promote sport and healthy living within the local community who will have access to the facilities at affordable prices.
